Foundations of Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G. is an self-paced online course designed to give fitness trainers/strength & conditioning coaches, sport coaches and health professionals an understanding of the role of the brain in performance and how to use integrative methods both physical and mental to condition it.

Our program will allow you to understand specific concepts for you to create Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G. programs for populations ranging but not limited to professional/amateur athletes, general fitness populations, active aging populations and tactical athletes.
You will not only learn the science of the brain and its role in performance but to apply it in a practical manner that has real life implications. The overall goal is to allow your clientele to perform at their highest ability regardless of levels of stress, lack of resources or preparedness through heightened cognitive performance

Is this webinar ONLY for mental coaches?No it is not! While we will target a lot of specific topics relevant to mental coaches, I would say anyone in a performance industry (fitness, physical therapy, vision therapy sport, etc.) can benefit. The webinar will use methods that are not exclusive to mental coaching businesses and can even be an asset to outside industries as it will teach a different skill set to add to your practice.

Will this Webinar guarantee results?I personally believe it will definitely give you the right tools that will by proxy get you to better results, but I like to be transparent and while I have seen much success, I cannot guarantee you will get a six figure contract or pro level clients. There's a way to improve these skills just as you would with a physical workout. This course was made to be informative enough to educate those in academia, but still understandable enough to be comprehended and digestible to those not in academia or in the brain and behavior sciences. It includes practical lessons that can carryover to your everyday life but are backed off evidence based research.

Why the focus on Mental Toughness? What about other psychological concepts?Mental toughness is a construct that is comprised of a variety of psychological concepts. Someone who is mentally tough will have a combination of productive personality traits, competent social skills, can manage their emotions and plan goals efficiently to execute their endeavors. All in all one cannot be mentally tough with out having other aspects of psychological performance.

What kind of equipment do I need?This a great question as it is often assumed that it's impossible to train your brain with out a coach or fancy equipment. We created Brain A.C.T.I.V.E. with the thought of everyone getting access to some form of mental training. The equipment and materials needed will mostly consist of common items such as tennis balls or cones for some of the dynamic task. Some of the items can be printed out for use and others will be implemented through video instruction. The only technology necessary would be either a phone or tablet. Some of the task will be provided through YouTube link. This will allow you to administer the task and perform them with our clientele.

Is this good for concussion and TBI recovery?Those who suffer from any brain injury or mental health issues should seek medical professional help. With that being said, once an individual is cleared this training can be a great way to help promote cognitive and mental funciton.

How frequent should I train mental performance?Ideally you want to perform approximately 90 minutes of mental training per week. This can be broken down into incremental sessions and look to see noticeable results in 4-6 weeks.

Is this only for athletes?No! Brain A.C.T.I.V.E. is ideal for all demographics. The beauty of mental training is that the individual adapts from their own level and each drill can be scaled and applied in customizable ways.

What is Brain A.C.T.I.V.E.?Brain A.C.T.I.V.E. stands for: Applied Cognitive Psychology Training Interventions for Various Executive Functions This program involves a variety training concepts and tools derived from Mind.Body.1.'s Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G. methodology. It can be used as an addition to a training program or stand alone on its own. Applied psychology involves a multidisciplinary approach using practical methods based on psychological concepts. It takes from evidence based research so you can use it in your everyday life, business, school, or sport. Brain A.C.T.I.V.E. contains task and drills to help with promoting brain function (memory, decision making, focus, goals/planning), build psychological skills (confidence, control worries, motivation) and a way to implementing physical activity while keeping your Brain ACTIVE!

What is Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G.The Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G method is an acronym which stands for: Collectively Organizing Necessary Dimensions Intended to Target Individual Differences Optimal Performance Negative Appraisal and Inconsistent Delivery in Non-Athletic and Athletic Groups In short the overall mission is to strive for you to perform to your highest ability regardless of levels of stress, lack of resources or preparedness through heightened cognitive performance. When you look at failed performances, whether it be in sport, education, business, entertainment, tactical or even romantic/interpersonal, it is usually a lapse in one (or multiple) cognitive processes. Research has shown how different mental/cognitive processes play a role in human performance, but there has been a gap in the training of these skills in an interconnected methodology. Fields such as mental health, sport psychology and neuroscience all take approaches to a variety in issues but Cognitive C.O.N.D.I.T.I.O.N.I.N.G looks to bridge the gap with an emphasis on goal directed behavior, movement and outcomes in regard to exposure to stressors.

Do I receive a certificate or CEU's for completing this course?Yes! Once you complete all the course there is a final exam and assignment that you must complete. The exam requires an 80% grade to pass. After you pass the exam and complete the assignment you will receive a certificate and you can use the distinction "Certified Mind.Body.1. Specialist" or MB1-SPC.
